truth is, I'm not familiar enough with the Bible to know if this is correct or not,
it probably is ...
which seems passing strange!

I find that kind of offensive. Also seems words and meanings have been twisted into hateful insults.

I definitely found this very informative, quite amusing, a bit disturbing and extreamly hilarious. all the bible bashers out there should take another glance at the really good book again, this seems more interesting than playboy or hustler, and for the most part a lot more realistic.

Is it hypercritical or what?

Just what I alway thought about the do as I say and not what I do attitude!

Would you take it all with a grain of salt?

funny as fuck, literally...

Nice post and most intriguing.

Well all true, but twisted totally out of context. Most of the Bible accounts used were the result of man's desires and choices not what God ordered. But it is an interesting look at things from an alternative point of view.

I think that's mostly the same reaction I had.

Not so much for or against Kev, I am not a believer anymore, but I spent many hours reading the Bible. Enough to recognise that although the video was funny, it was also not telling the whole story. The Bible laid the grounds for marriage in the first book that marriage was between one man and one woman. Many characters in the Bible went astray from that until Christian times brought things back into line.

I didn't get anything from this, no amusement or offence, which appears to be the two things people have experienced in this thread.

It's easy to do this sort of thing with the Bible due to how old it actually is. You have to first understand that the moral code of people over 2000 years ago is quite different from the moral code we have today.

The best the religious can do is interpret the Bible as they see it, with the modern moral code, if you view it with the code it was written then you'll find a lot of things you can't agree with.

Out of context? It depends highly on who you are.

I think God had a great sense of humor it was boundless after all he created human beings and look where that got the Universe:guitar:

Hmm, not quite funny to me, also not offensive in my eyes.
Because what she actually says is very true, homosexuality seems to be a sin, which to me is just a bunch of bull. No offense intended, but that's probably the reason I'm a non believer. Since the human was actually created by "God", homosexuality is something you are born with, so if we would sum it up, "God" would be "Satan" for letting someone be born with a sin automatically sending him to hell. Again, no offense intended, but that's how I see it ._.
Buddhism is just a philosophy, that's why I'm a buddhist and nothing else.

What you just did there was to try and apply logic to religion. It doesn't work that way, you can't be logical when you're facing a lot of things that are hypocritical.

Those who follow the words of such ancient texts are feeble minded. You can't possibly decide and figure out for yourself that being gay probably isn't that awful?

I'd rather a Buddhist over a Christian any day.

Oh dear... One could take offence to this- though i'm not outrageously offended, i just feel someone should say on behalf of those good christians that do their best to be good people, that your comment (not necessarily you) seems a bit ignorant- hateful rather than revolutionary..

Yep yep budddisim all the way!

ps, Paul, i'm not fighting with you, just engaging in healthy debate :p

People shed blood and wage war in the name of religion- just stories? Maybe so, but definatly not something to be taken lightly- although sometimes i wish it were...

Oh right, right yeah i see where you're coming from... Vicious circle isn't it? Some bunch of people start a war- we all say, 'Chill, we can talk this through,' - and someone else says 'chill? talk? there's a war!' and around we go..
Now everything's so tense it's practically impossible to say anything without causing offence, so we have to take this into account and tread carfully.
