A Problem with Rules

We follow rules to conform
It helps maintain the norm
but as knowledge expands
reform perform new demands
Everything we believe is flawed
And must be updated recored

So open your closed up mind
see what's out there to find
for we live in a universe of change
and things update and rearrange
Life is to learn and then to turn
for nothing is solid in human truth

We have theories for this and theories for that
Then we can change them at the drop of a hat
Cause many times we get it so wrong
So many of our theories are weak not strong
But we are only human in cosmic things
Love is our true strength in all it brings

We must be careful as we make new rules
Don't let bias or prejudice influence its ways
For rules can be used by evil to manipulate
so don't be fooled... could be in our very own state
Let rules promote harmony not pain or regret
for rules have many floors in ignorance many are set

Shame our last Federal Govt though this was the way to go when making it's rules
Bigger shame our new Federal Govt thinks a lot of those rules can stay
Seems the old adage is true, no matter who we vote for we always elect ...
