I recently gone threw some really bad heartache
and im currently in depression, and i seem to be writing a lot
these days, id like to share some of what iv wrote on here just to get it seen so it isnt private,
a lot of what iv wrote was also written when i was in a bad state of drunken mind and I didnt even know i was expressing meself or writing anything until the next day when ther it is on a scrap bit of paper, well iv kept all those bits of paper and i decided to get a journal to put them all into, and now i feel im ready to share a piece of me instead of locking it away,
I hope this ok and i get to meet some nice people here so i dont give up fully on the world

thanks

Don't give up on the world, or writing, it can be a good safety release. Hope you enjoy it here as much as I have.

It often seems that writing and depression go hand in hand. They often seem as two lovers who maybe shouldn't be in quite so unrequited a love. At any rate, welcome to the forum.

Someone once said to me that I never forgot - "writing poetry is cheaper than therapy".
I think it's a useful tool aswell, as I've had periods of darkness where I just couldn't see a way out no matter which way I looked. Writing and writing helped me to come to terms, and before long I was able to reread what I had written and see a way out. Some of those writings scared me, I marvel at our own inner strength to get up and survive another day!

It's a marvellous thing, so I would say to anyone, just keep writing.
