Heya

I enjoy writing the ocassional poem. I posted two of them as I just signed up and thought it best not to post my whole back catalogue.

I pick poetry up and put it down again without any real consistency, sometimes I feel like writing so I do, and other times I just don't. It is something I enjoy and I could never write if it wasn't from the heart so I often go long periods without writing a word.

I'm not educated, and my spelling has been compromised by being a bit thick, and i've not much interest in structure or form, and honestly I don't even read very much poetry, I just write. I am a creative.

I hope what I have to say touches you in a positive way.

If anybody is interested I do have some more on my web page, I didn't want to 'spam' a link so it's on my profile.

Hello Becky Rose... sounds like you've a similar experience to me with regards getting into poetry. I only just started reading in November but have been writing for years. Welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome,

I pick poetry up and put it down again without any real consistency, sometimes I feel like writing so I do, and other times I just don't.

That is part of the pleasure of poetry to be able to write when you want to express something or leave it when you don't.

Thank you for welcoming me.

I has read some of the poems here and enjoyed them. In a way I think it killed my little creative spurt of writing them because I got distracted by reading all of yours, but it's all good as I enjoyed it. I has too many creative outlets and am loosing focus on things lately, but i'll be sure to spell some stuff wrong on a poem again soon!
