Teenagers need lots of guidance... I have a lot of time for children and teens. I have always worked with them, voluntarily of course...
Men?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 12:37 AM
like men, except the very cocky and arrogant
toddlers?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 12:45 AM
Love toddlers. I think I was put on this earth to love children... And that is exactly what I do. I'm the type that finds lost kids in shopping centres and helps them find their parents.
Same?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 12:57 AM
I love toddlers, but I love children of about 5 to 8 even more
Men with ginger hair?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 12:59 AM
Oh, men are so cute with ginger/red hair.
Women with blonde hair.
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:04 AM
like, but not platinum blonde
Formula 1 racing?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:07 AM
I don't mind, so long as it doesn't go for too long. I get easily bored of watching loud cars, go round and round.... And round... And round.
Drag racing?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:12 AM
What's that?
Jermac
07-03-2010, 01:26 AM
In short, drag racing is all about initial acceleration. The vehicle that can accelerate the fastest usually wins.
What about rap in general?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:45 AM
Rap... I don't know I have mixed feelings about rap... It's the sort of thing you can listen too, but gets a little monotonous after a while.
Opera?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 10:07 AM
Love the best, tuneful operas- Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet's Carmen
indie pop?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 10:13 AM
What is indie pop?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 10:27 AM
British guitar band pop/rock from late 80s onwards- varied and tuneful and inventive- Oasis, Blur, radiohead, Super Furry Animals.
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 10:29 AM
I've probably heard many songs and if it is from the eighties... Then I like it.
Madonna?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 11:50 AM
dislike. A hard-faced businesswoman, not a real artist or musician
leonardo Di Caprio?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 12:08 PM
He's ok, like.
Kate Winslet?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:01 PM
Dislike. Talks too much and lobs her bosoms out in evey film
Hugh Jackman?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:14 PM
Never liked, still don't
Angela Lansbury?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:19 PM
Good performer, though her voice is annoying. Are those Murder She Wrotes repeated in Oz? There seems to be one for every day of time.
Catherine Zeta Jones?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:27 PM
Don't mind her, like.
Yes, I am quite sick of her voice too and all the re-runs.
Robert Palmer?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:36 PM
I liked Robert Palmer- a classy and unpredictable singer and songwriter. He actually was born near here. He died too young
Boy George?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:40 PM
I was in love with Robert Palmer for years... I remember my dad ripping a poster off my wall and tearing it up in shreds. Stating that I shouldn't be staring at old men. I cried like a baby. I saw him in concert when he last came to Australia. He was a sophisticated performer. Very smooth.
I didn't mind Boy George's songs, but his antics with Marilyn and the industry... Is to be desired.
Marilyn?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:47 PM
Was he Boy George's gay pal? Dislike, I think. George has just come out of jail for unspeakable acts committed on a rent boy
Marilyn Monroe?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 01:53 PM
Ewww, change my mind, will dislike him...
I had a thing for Marilyn Monroe... I remember my friends would call me a lesbian, because I bragged about her beauty. I feel that credit, where credit was due and this woman was a solid size 14, but what a bombshell... Stunning. A little weird, but stunning none-the-less. I think my friends were just jealous.
Yul Bryner?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 01:59 PM
Marilyn was super sexy, despite the platinum hair
Liked yul Brynner- an exotic presence in many films
Errol Flynn? (was he an Aussie?)
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 02:07 PM
Oh, yes he was... And he was my ideal man. But sadly I did a write up on someone (him), for 10% of my final marks in year 11 english... I was so depressed when I found out that he had raped many girls under the age of 16 and he got away with it... Laughing at his peers as he did.
Simon and Garfunkle?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 02:18 PM
I don't think it was violent rape, more like him sweet-talking silly teenagers into bed - "statutory rape" in America
Liked Simon and Garfunkel- great songs and great singing
Paul Simon on his own?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 02:26 PM
Like... But I liked them better together.
Same
Henry P
07-03-2010, 02:42 PM
same
women's magazines?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 02:46 PM
Honestly, I used to like them when I was younger, but now they are all filled with rubbish. I buy crossword puzzles magazines with the competitions. I enter two every week. I have one small prizes, like free phone refils, first aid kits. And perfumes.
Men's girlie magazines?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 02:57 PM
I deny all knowledge of them!
What about you?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 03:01 PM
You should know me by now... I don't buy men's girlie magazines...
Hahaha.
Comics?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 03:09 PM
I like comics and miss them
mowing the lawn?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 03:11 PM
Well we recently laid crushed rock, from which I detest... But before I loved mowing the lawn. I used to use a manual lawn mower.
gardening?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 03:27 PM

Maryd.
07-03-2010, 03:28 PM
Love her.
Doris Day?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 04:08 PM
Both ladies were a bit sugary for my taste
Jane Fonda?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 10:03 PM
A lot of people I know, don't like her... But I always did. I thought she was and still is a clever actress and I think she has her own beauty. Not the type that holywood expects.
Her father Henry?
Henry P
07-03-2010, 10:13 PM
Great actor but a bad man with women. Didn't Jane's mother kill herself?
Ewan Macgregor?
Maryd.
07-03-2010, 10:15 PM
Like Ewan... Not sure abot Jane's mother.
Long distant friends?
Henry P
08-03-2010, 12:33 AM
Don't think I have any like that. What about you?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 12:37 AM
No. Just family.
Friends that like to overstay their welcome?
Henry P
08-03-2010, 12:50 AM
I don't mind friends staying as long as they want. It's not easy to be granted entry here, so you have to be really nice to be invited at all.
Costume dramas?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 12:52 AM
Ah, I am a little embarrassed here. I don't know what a costume drama is.
Henry P
08-03-2010, 01:10 AM
Films with the actors dressed in period costumes and set in the past like Pride and Prejudice or Shakespeare in Love
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 01:12 AM
dislike... I think they look too fake.
People who are fake?
Jermac
08-03-2010, 04:45 AM
I find fakey, flakey people to be really boring to be around because there is no substance to them. I know quite a few fakey people. They seem to be quite satisfied with their lives. I suspect they are unaware of their own emptiness. They are like Stepford Wives. In a way, they're like robots or cyborgs.
What about Paris Hilton.
Henry P
08-03-2010, 09:30 AM
Despise the slut
Award ceremonies?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 10:38 AM

Henry P

I prefer brick houses
Wooden houses?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 11:24 AM
I am confusing all the games.
I have a wooden house don't like it...

Henry P
08-03-2010, 11:37 AM
like traditional weddings
dinner parties?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 11:39 AM

Don't mind them, so long as I don't end up in the kitchen (which I usually do!) afterwards.
Henry P
08-03-2010, 12:23 PM

Maryd.
08-03-2010, 12:49 PM

New Years Day?
Henry P
08-03-2010, 01:04 PM

Bullfighting?
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 01:28 PM
Oh, it's cruel for the bull. But oh, those hunky matadors... Hmmm.

Henry P
08-03-2010, 02:09 PM
Spanish guys are handsome, aren't they- look at their soccer team
Hate violent dogs and their brutish owners
Fox-hunting? ( big controversy here)
Maryd.
08-03-2010, 02:15 PM
Hate any cruelty to animals and hunting foxes is cruelty.

Maryd.
08-03-2010, 09:01 PM
It can be a little distracting, but I don't mind it... It's cute at least. I have seen some nasty evil avatars and at least I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I look at yours.
My avatar?
Jermac
08-03-2010, 10:41 PM
Mary, I love your avatar (I have always liked brown and white dogs--and brown and white dogs have always liked me. I have no idea why)
What about old-fashioned merry-go-'rounds
Maryd.

Love the sea and being on it
handbags?
Maryd.
09-03-2010, 12:26 AM
Argh Henry... I am just about the only woman that will tell you this... I hate handbags. Everyone - who is anyone - wants to be able to put something in it and at the end of the day you end up with a bag filled with items that don't belong there. I hate them.
Purses/wallets?
Henry P
09-03-2010, 12:38 AM
How refreshing to find a woman not obsessed with bags. My friend's daughter collects them.I have a wallet, but out of practical necessity.I 'm not carrying cash in pockets
Shoes?
Maryd.
09-03-2010, 12:46 AM
I don't have a fetish for shoes as most women... But I would be telling you a lie if I didn't like them... However I do look for comfort. If they are pretty as well, then bonus.
