Atonement is a subtle, poetic, difficult book and the film is a good stab at reproducing the story. Try his On Chesil Beach- no other book captures the nuances of first forays into sex as accurately .

I loved Noel as a kid on Swap Shop but all this 'positive mental energy' he talks about on Deal or No deal is annoying. It's 22 poxy boxes being opened up one by one. Simple as that. I loved Gotcha Oscar though!

Neil Young's voice is an acquired taste, but he has some very good tunes. Paul Young was a good singer.

Andy Murray?

To be truthful I don't know who Andy Murray is, is he Bill's brother? I like Bill, he is a good actor.


Watching Tennis?

I used to like tennis,but not any longer. It seems a limited game compared to football or cricket. The commentators are posh dimwits except John McEnroe. I don't like the grimacing Andy Murray either.

Rugby union?

errr, Wales vs South Africa is Rugby Union or is that local clubs?

I think local clubs are more gritty and play better than the other.

I like rugby union, although not even the players understand all the rules- too many penalties and too much kicking.
I never found the Vicar of Dibley funny, nor French or Saunders.

i hate reality shows but love donkeys. One wandered through my garden a few years ago, on the run with two horses. the young ones are gorgeous.
