View Full Version : McCain only cares about the rich

John McCain plans to give the oil companies nearly a four million dollar tax break.
We can not vote for him for this country's sake.
He also plans to give tax breaks to those who make half a million a year.
McCain only cares about the rich, that much is painfully clear.
When you pay for gas, it is a real pain.
You'll pay even higher if you elect McCain.
McCain doesn't give a damn about the working man.
If you want to make a difference, you sure can.
If you don't plan to vote for Obama, please don't vote at all.
If McCain wins and you're not rich, you will be appalled.

I agree. I am not American but I do have my opinion on this.
Obama is the better candidate for the American people, and possibly the world. Polls show that if Europe and Africa (parts of) were to have the say on this vote, then Obmama would win with flying colours.
I hope the American people see sense in who is the better Candidate. It'll spark ill opinion of Americans accross the globe if they choose McCain. You did wrong with Bush, not please just make it right again.

I dislike neoconservative policies as much as the next person, but I think that you've got an overly simplistic view of supply-side economics there.

I could not agree with you more about that.
Interestingly, from what I hear about the globe's opinions of Americans I don't see how voting for McCain could make them any worse. There also isn't a candidate with talking points that could make a real difference for America. I have yet to hear one candidate speak about campaign finance reform, stemming the monumental reductions in masters and doctorate degrees, or significantly increasing funding for major science projects. Ultimately you have to be rich to be president, and the seeming number one goal of the rich is to protect their assets.
At least there is some talk of freeing the US from the need for foreign oil. I've also seen programs for constructing renewable sources of petroleum. These programs vary from pulling CO2 from the atmosphere in a solar driven plant to using genetically engineered algae to exude petroleum as a biproduct of their life-cycle. Most of these programs are set to go into motion between 2010 and 2012. There is also a very important international program to create a fusion reactor for the purposes of generating excess energy. Groundbreaking on project ITER is set to begin right about now and full testing is tenatively set for 2015. It was in the works for 3 years before Bush allowed the US to join the project (a sin almost tantamount to treason).

McCain's not going to do shit for the US. Obama's probably unable, to effectively chang, what needs to be within 4 years, but he sure as hell's pushing in the right direction.
My 2 cents
