Well I would say either Going Under or Call Me When You're Sober by Evanescence.

I hope that you can find them and listen....Plus they're the only ones that I can think of at the moment, that fit what you're talking about.....

I would like to hear a song that's sad, but not slow and moody sounding.

To lift spirits, try virtually anything by the Beatles pre-1965, like "I want to hold your hand" or "she loves you"; the Who's "Squeezebox" or try Weird Al Yankovich's rude parodies. But being a moody bugger, I enjoy being morose, and there's nothing better to accompany a melancholy mood than Radiohead's "OK Computer" album.

For calm, try "The Murmur's Dance" or "The Mystic's Dream" by Lorena McKennitt.

I'd like to hear something with intelligent lyrics.
