I'm jade. Written poetry since I was a young lil girl... nine to be exact.

I like the layout here... I've been looking around and reading and my first impression is that I also like the people who post here.

I'm glad I found this place...

And to the maker, you might be wondering how I found your site as I often wonder with my own site how random members find it... I googled Poetry Forum. And your domain name is what it is... I thought I'd give a look at the forum whom had the perfect name.

How long has this site been in existance?

But anyway... I've got a couple books out, I edit and publish as well. I love LOVE critique on my own poetry and I love to give it as well. Some call me a hardass when it comes to critiqueing... some say I don't do it enough. You tell me.

:burp:

Woohooo, welcome Jade. So glad google is starting to work. Weve been open since January, very slowly picking up members, google moves you up based on how many people use you I think, lol, so we are slowly becoming findable by more and more people.

Keep all severe critique to the critique sections, but suggestions and thoughts are welcome on all posts unless the writer states otherwise.

(I've visited poetry forums that actually state you aren't allowed to include your personal opinion in replies to other peoples poems... lmao)

Well I went back through google quite a few pages. And then yesterday I tried to google it again and couldn't find it.

But the first day I came here I bookmarked the page so yeah.

I'm going to go ahead and put this out there... CRITIQUE away at my poems. I love it. Never get offended. I'm openminded and know that all critiques are opinions. I can take them or leave them.

Good thing about critique is to see how the world views my stuff. Thats always important since I don't just write for myself. I write for everyone. Its my passion... but its more than just passion... its my way of life. I sound like a geek. ha ha.

And that thing you said about those sites not letting you put your opinions... wtf? Ummm ok. Thats all I have to say about that.

What is too harsh may I ask?
If you don't mind I'd like to post a link to a thread titled "things to include in a reply" I go by this when I respond to poetry. Do you mind if I post it here?

Why not post it in 'poet to poet' our advice on technical matters etc board.

Too harsh would be something like 'your a crap poet never write again' lol.

And I know, I left that forum immediately once I saw that, lol.

Oh wow thank you for posting your welcome here. I was getting worried I wouldn't be able to find this place again. I moved to Germany since the last time I was on line and its a different computer so I didn't have my bookmark anymore of this site. :(

Thank you for the welcome.

So I knew this site looked familiar. Lady Frazier is my old account. I just made a new one "BladedJade". What was I moderator and mentor for? Can I merge my posts from BladedJade with this one so I only have one account?

I stayed in Germany for three years and now I am back to the united states, currently living in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Because you havent been on for a very long time, your moderator status has been revoked. At the moment, we don't really need any staff, but should the need arise then we'll consider it. Mentor positions have been abolished, too, but you are of course welcome to hang around again.
