Hello everybody !..

Hiya !

This is all new to me ,poetry that is.Not even sure i should be here.Its one of those weird things where the heart controlled the grey mater and i put down what was wizzing round my head,it happens sometimes...
I also posted my mumbles before introducing myself,Oooops !.
I am middle years ,content with what life throws at me and deal with it in a non stressful way.Lifes to short to worry.
Its brief but honest.Don't expect big things of me ,its an emotional thing and i act on this.

Welcome! We don't expect the next Sylvia Plath, John Wilmot or Shakespeare..... we are hear to share OUR art, feelings, ect. and, many of us, to be critiqued to become better writers. We are teachers/ therapists/students and (artistically speaking) nomads were wander from (art) form to form and explore the myriad of opportunities within them. You master some, you play with some.... with that doesn't mean we would EVER judge you harshly, just honestly. Again, welcome to the forum!

For many poeple poetry often starts as an emotional impulse. In time you may begin to read quite a bit of poetry, and from that you might develop an interest in style, form, and function. If you are looking for reading material, I'd suggest Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelley(Percey not Mary), Keats, Tennyson, and Whitman. These authors will reflect poetry ideologies that you are likely to connect with. The most important thing to have fun and enjoy.
