Hi everyone, I'm doing something for a puzzle/project that was given to me and it is related to poetry. I am really hoping you guys don't mind giving me a helping hand, as I am kind of at a loss.
The hint that was given to me is that the following poem should be divided by iambic pentameter. I did research on this but still have trouble figuring out which words/syllables are stressed or nonstressed, etc... or if it follows the typical form or is some sort of weird form. Hell, the original writer could have messed up as well for all I know...
The poem is as follows:
"For he devours the essence of the living,
For whoever, he sends the gifts of hellfire,
For his foes must tremble, quaking in fear,
For he cannot be beguiled by darkness,
For he expels unnamed wraiths to vanquish,
So says the lore... only this and nothing more."
I would really, really appreciate any help given. Thank you very much!!!
