I recently rediscovered this tune from a few years ago. The lyrics were taken from Mary Schmich's column in the Chicago Tribune from 1997. Poetic, deeply meaningful and wonderful advice for life and I think is well worthy of dissemination to all people, regardless of age, culture or creed. Enjoy :D

heh, i remember that :) There was a similar track that preceded Luhrmann's, can't remember who the artist was but it had a voiceover by the great american writer, William S. Burroughs. I think it was called 'Words of Advice'. Not as good/comprehensive as 'Sunscreen' but worth a listen if you like Burroughs

I hadn't heard of "Words of Advice" so with the joy of the internet i had a lil' shufty and found it pretty quickly. Very jazzy and kinda made me feel like I was in a lounge bar from a 70's spy movie :) By the way, the artist was the New York band Material on the Axiom label.

Furthermore I've never read any Burroughs, although his reputation preceeds him. I will have to expand my horizons and absorb some of his works.

Cheers for the recommendation m.b. :D

Thanks for posting this PP, I had forgotten altogether about it.
