Hi everyone - I have had a love of poetry since I was a child but I'm here primarily to ask for some help...I'm trying to find a poem that I know very little about. Is anybody up for a challenge? :bye:

Thank you for taking the time to reply :bye:
Ok the poem I'm trying to find is one that I read at school whilst studying for my GCSE English Lit - it reminded me so much of my Dad & I would love to get a copy of it for his Birthday. I don't know who wrote it, or even any of the exact wording but maybe I'll get lucky & somebody will know it :)
Ok this is what I remember: The poem *I think* was descibing a Dad/Grandad, it made reference to him being like a tree/oak? Roots, smelling of earth, possible knarled hands/weather beaten or something. May have also mentioned something about digging/possibly descibing a gardener...
Sorry, I know it isn't much to go on but thought it would be worth a shot...
These are similar poems that I've found, but it's not any of these: Seamus Heaney: 'Digging' Wag: 'The Tree in Winter, Seamus Heaney: 'Follower'
I really hope somebody can help, thanking you in advance :bye:
