How long have you been doing Poetry for?
when did you start?
and what made you pick up that pen and start writing? Or..
what made you type those words?

started writing poetry about six months ago. i was very distressed/depressed about a break up from a serious relationship and i first started to just journal about how i was feeling but it sort of turned into poetry. since then i have found writing poetry to be very theraputic and it has helped me get through lots of hard stuff and i am really psyched about poetry all of the sudden.

i've been writing since primary school, my dad was a writer and i just picked up the love of reading and writing from him. :)

I started writing when I first listened to Loreena McKanitt
I started in Arabic(my mother tongue)
then in English
I hope u can understand Arabic that i would have posted some of my Arabic texts

I couldn't sleep one night because I was mentally rhyming like I'd just read the complete works of Dr Seuss. I ended up turning on the light and scrawling a two stanza poem in red pen on a tissue because I didn't want to get out of bed and I couldn't find paper. It was quite a few years ago.

always loved poetry when the teacher read it to us in primary school, then half way through secondary school i remember i got annoyed one night because boys didnt like me, (lame yes) so i picked up a pen and had a bit of a rant which turned into a poem, from then on i just wanted to create things or capture them with my words
