Have you ever had German beer? It's amazing. After living in Germany for three years and then moving back to the states, beer doesn't taste the same. I miss the deep dark fulfilling brew of Germany. That taste that I can find no where else. Here in Oklahoma beer is only three percent alcohol. Such a difference.

I've been to Germany a few times, but could never really get into their beer, the same way I can never really get into any kind of lager. I like a good bitter or stout, and there's nothing I adore more than a good whisky... But beer's just something I'm not particularly keen on.

The German stuff's better than most of the equivalents I've tasted, mind you.

I guess I prefer Belgian beer as I usually drink Stella Artois, though I've never really thought about the country of origin of the beer that I drink - you'd have to line a load of glasses of beer up anonymously and let me decide on which was my favourite to find out if I had a country preference, I guess
