Who here thinks aliens exist?
I for one definitely do. Whether or not we have been visited before or what kind of other lifeforms are out there I certainly can't say, but I find it illogical not to believe in life on other planets. There are an estimated over 50 billion galaxies out there, how can you believe this is the ONLY planet out there that can sustain life?

Phew, an easy question for once! I don't think we can say 'definitely', but the balance of probability certainly leans very very heavily in favour of other life in the universe, even if its only amoeboid. I wouldn't say I 'believe' in life on other planets, but I'd say there's a damn good chance.
Now, intelligent life is something different entirely, and intelligent life that has visited us... Well, I'll let those sardonic italics speak for themselves.

Do aliens exist? Probably. I hope so

I think intelligent life is still at least fairly likely. And as you said, life that has visited us is different. As much as I want to believe we've been visited by them, you just gotta look at the people who claim to have been abducted and wonder what hole they crawled out of...
And of course there's plenty of "evidence" and footage about UFO's, but I hate how all the UFO fanatics claim that every single moving spec in the sky is an alien. They completely refute any logical explanation, just as many immediately refute the idea of an alien visiting us (though I feel the latter group of people have a much more justifiable position on the matter).
And, although it may just be the conspiracy theorist within me, I smell a bit of a cover up by the U.S. government. Of course, the governments lack of explanation on these matters could very well be that they have simply been testing new technology and it would threaten national security if they opened up about everything in all their military bases.

I do believe they're out there... somewhere. We just don't know where!
Maybe they are just so advanced that we can't get in contact with them. They may be able to travel much quicker than we can. The only thing that I don't understand is why they haven't got in touch with us. Maybe they have seen us, even been here, but they're just not interested in us.
All I know is that it would change absolutely everything the day we do get in touch with them!

..i believe there must surely be other life somewhere..just the law of averages..
and i do find it very interesting that similar things..images,architecture and such that turn up across continents, centuries and civilisations..hmmmm??!!

I can't remember whose law it was (name beginning with B, I think), but he predicted something like 10,000 species in this galaxy alone. Of course, the scientists are very sceptical about that sort of figure, but it's something to go by. The only reason they're doubtful is because of their love of the 'Goldilocks' Zone', but seeing as species made of arsenic exist on Earth, that may not always be neccesary. What we need for a good estimation is a greater knowledge of life's adaptability and origins.
Sadly, trying to find aliens is a bit harder. At the moment, we're using radio telescopes and spectroscopy. This relies on them using radios (they could have invented something else) and living in similar conditions to us. We can't fly out to find them because we can't get out there fast enough (same problem exists for radio telescopes) and some annoying people have cut funding.

May not have to look all that far to find some of them as they're probably among us. We may very well be of them.
What about the possibility of hybrids ?

Since I believe in a creator my reply isn't based on whether abiogenesis followed by evolution took place or not. If we consider that the function of our star-the sun, is to support life, then how can we look at the universe and say that an ID gave only our sun or our star that function? It's like saying that one bee's function is to make honey but all the other bees we see from a distance don't.
That's my particular view on the matter.
BTW
Not seeking a debate about belief in an ID. Just stating my opinion as others state theirs.

Don't you just love it when government authorities tell people that their cars are being chased down the highway by the planet Venus? LOL
