I should introduce myself. Not very good with introductions and I do more lurking than anything else.
However there are a few people here that know me from the past and thankfully do not regret it!
I am young with an old soul.
I write to escape to the quiet.
Its something drugs could never do for me and I tried the latter...horribly.
When I write I am speaking to you and they are the only words I care to share.
I am not professional and never will be.
I taunt myelf - even with my own career.
Someday I will be free of this.
It's a success I have failed to my own demise.
Strange friends always seem to file their grievance
Tho they've never known me with their own eyes.
I keep myself in a quiet place
Protected by my words and time
Years since I've courage to see my own face
I'd rather hide behind my rhyme.
Now you see, you know me
Its all I really care to share
For I'm terrified if you truely see
You'll be caught in the darkness from where
I stare.

Welcome to the lurker posting lurid lamentations of a fearful and seemingly sheltered soul. Such statements often seem so secular as to be somewhat sublime. Nevertheless we shall welcome the newly seen long lurking Curtius of contrition.

Glad you're here too, C...
I have always loved your wryness (and you seem stronger now - that makes me glad)
And you STILL make me laugh!!

What a welcome!
I look forward to learning much from this site - its nice to have this forum to come too it seems a little more focused I love all the feedback on my work!
Personally I enjoy reading what everyone else has been up to and I am inspired to know there is a community of poets and writers that have the same outlets as myself.
