Wanted to leave a post to say hello and greetings from Minnesota - USA. As of late, this state has earned its name aptly as "The Frozen Tundra" - as I woke to a temperature of 14 below zero!!
I love to read and compose poetry, and have been expressing myself through journaling for many years. Sharing my work has really been an evolution, since most of what I pen is kept more private. Writing has always helped me work through some of my emotions that I don't always know what to do with. I enjoy free-form and haiku.
Coming off of a writers block that began in early November, I believe I'm back in the saddle again. And with that "epiphany", I decided to seek out a forum to join. This is the first poetry forum I've chosen to become a member of , but I am familiar with basic protocol. I've spent more time appreciating others' pieces, and I'm always amazed at the differing styles and profound use of metaphor.
While I figure out my profile look and peek around a bit, I look forward to meeting many of you here! Cheers!
