After watching the excellent "The Secret Life of Chaos" documentary on BBC iPlayer recently, I began to wonder about one of the basic principles of evolution, that complex systems evolve from simple rules. To test this, and for a bit of fun, I started a Blog at sentenceevolution.blog.com, that applies this idea to words. Beginning with a simple sentence, can infinite monkies at infinite typewriters rewrite the works of Shakespeare after all, using the Internet as a form of shared consciousness?
