First up, my name is Dave Sealey and I'm an aspiring poet and writer based in Bath, England. I have a poetry and MSPaint gallery blog up at davesealeysreality.blogspot.com, so give it a glance :)

After watching the excellent "The Secret Life of Chaos" documentary on BBC iPlayer recently, I began to wonder about one of the basic principles of evolution, that complex systems evolve from simple rules. To test this, and for a bit of fun, I started a Blog at sentenceevolution.blog.com, that applies this idea to words. Beginning with a simple sentence, can infinite monkies at infinite typewriters rewrite the works of Shakespeare after all, using the Internet as a form of shared consciousness? To find out, follow the link above and get posting. Remember, it is all in the name of fun, so get creative :)

An interesting experiment. Who else besides Poetry Forum people are contributing? What is your total expected audience.

QUESTION: The sentence is at its forth or fifth iteration and, already, the rules need clarification, questions about changing the word order and of contributions in succession by the same writer. This need some attention before your scientific design, i.e., the rules and future direction, are completely lost.

I have been posting on several forums and social networking sites to garner a bigger audience, I wish to reach the widest audience possible and encourage hopefully hundreds if not thousands of contributors. Thank you for your own excellent contributions Troost! Have you got any suggestions or ideas for reaching a larger audience?

I'm pretty new around here and don't really know how to stir up an audience. As you can see, however, the games tag seems to get a lot of hits, so maybe ask the person who started it for some hints. Right now you have done the best thing by bringing it back to the top of the list and back into site. I personally would love to see some of the quick mind on this site participating. In the vein HAY, READERS, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS. I do have a few suggesstions for the technical stuff and will correspond privately. TA
